Wests Tigers v Manly Sea Eagles News

Wests Tigers, as a joint-venture club, enjoyed lots of early success but things have been much more up and down since then, and arguably more downs but despite that they retain a huge fanbase and can on their day, be one of the most attractive teams to watch.
The Sea Eagles have much more history behind them, although it can be argued that the Tigers continue the history of Balmain and the Magpies, and they too have enjoyed lots of success during the NRL era of the sport.
The city of Sydney is covered with Rugby League sides, and it is the main sport and whilst that may seem like a great thing for fans wanting to keep up with the news for this one, it is sadly the case that these two can often get overlooked.

Stadium(s)
As a joint venture club formed out of the merging of the Balmain Tigers and the Western Suburbs Magpies, so it is perhaps no surprise that they have more than one ground that they call home, but what is perhaps surprising is that this match could take place at one of 3 venues.
The first option is the Campbelltown Sports Stadium which is the home of the Western Suburbs Magpies and features a large bowl like design.
There are two larger all general access stands down each side of the stadium, with one side having a small roof and one side having a small central ‘main stand’ with both also featuring limited corporate and media facilites to give an overall capacity of around 18,000 fans.
Their other main home is the historic Leichhardt Oval, which was the home of the Balmain Tigers and is now a mix match of different stands.
Down one side is a small bank of seating with a traditional grass hill behind it, down one end of the stadium is a small bank of terracing, whilst the other end has a mix of terracing and a small roof all-seater stand.
The final stand is the main grandstand at the stadium that features a couple of tiers of general access seating as well as some media and corporate facilites to give an overall capacity of around 20,000.
The final option is to take the match to the Western Sydney Stadium which is a modern all-seater stadium with lots of corporate facilites that can host 30,000 fans.
Location
If it takes place at the Campbelltown Sports Stadium, the action will take place in Leameah, which is a suburb of the Macarthur region of South Western Sydney in New South Wales.
It is just off of the M31 motorway and next to the Leumeah train station which make sit easy for fans to get to the ground from all parts of the city.
If it is to be played at the Leichhardt Oval, it will be the Sydney suburb of Lilyfield where the action will take place where the ground is right on the banks of the Parramatta River, close to the A44 main road and within walking distance of the Leichhardt North light rail station.
If it gets a big move up to the Western Sydney Stadium, it will be the suburb of Parramatta that hosts the match which is one of the major sub-districts of Sydney and is often thought of as the second CBD of Sydney.
About
This is a battle between two Sydney based sides that have a long history going back to the pre-nationalised days of the sport and whilst it is not the biggest derby in the city, it still carries extra interest for fans of both clubs, and of course there are extra local bragging rights on the line.

Tigers vs Manly Teams
In the build up to the match, the squads for the game are announced well in advance of the action and that make sit easy for fans to be able to read or watch the news to find out who has and who hasn’t been selected for the match.
They can then find out the reason why those decisions have been made, digest the news and then discuss it all with other fellow fans, friends and families.
Despite all of that, the actual teams that take to the field can be much different to the ones that get announced initially as injuries, suspensions, illnesses and even disciplinary matters can impact things.
