The club are based in the Gold Coast suburb of Robina, which is on the Queensland coast to the south of the city of Brisbane, which has helped it to quickly become a major producer of Rugby League talent since the club joined the competition.

About
The club are actually the 2nd top tier club to play out of the Gold Coast region after the former Gold Coast-Tweed Giants (Gold Coast Seagulls, Gold Coast Chargers) disappeared in 1998 after ten years of existence.
Although things having always been plain sailing for the club, they have brought some stability to the region for the sport and are now a club capable of challenging for the end of season play-offs.
History
The club grew out of the need for a professional club to link the north of NSW with the south of Brisbane, an area full of Rugby League fans but most importantly full of junior and school Rugby League sides.
That need came from the expulsion of the Gold Coast Chargers due to the Broncos wanting to get rid of competition and the upper hand they had in negotiations during the fall out of the Super League wars.
In the time between the former Gold Coast team dropping out and the new one been accepted, a number of pre seaosn trial matches were played in the city and with crowds constantly ranging in the 16-20,000 range, the appetite for the sport was easy to see.
A consortium of local business men continued to push the NRL for acceptance and with the leagues concerns over the use of Carrara Stadium, the Queensland Government announced in 2005 that they would build a new $100m stadium fit for the NRL.
That seem to be the final push for their acceptance, with the NRL announcing that the Titans would become the 16th NRL team starting from the 2007 season.
The clubs first match came in pre-season action against Melbourne whilst there first official match cam e against the St George Illawarra Dragons, with the match taking place at Suncorp Stadium due to the demand of local fans that saw 42,000 fans watch their new side come up just short in a 18-20 loss.
Their first win came the very next week against the Sharkies, in another exciting match that saw the Titans win by 2 points.
The 2008 season saw the club move to their Robina Stadium home after playing the bulk of their home matches at Carrara Stadium in 2007 and in their first match to be played there, the club defeated the Cowboys in front of a sold out crowd.
The club would reach the end of season play-offs for the first time in 2009, when they finished 3rd in the table but they lost both play-off games.
The next year they would finish in 4th place but they would go onto defeat the Warriors for their first ever play-off win.
2011 proved to be a tough year for the club as they went into the seaosn without Mat Rogers due to retirement and they never seemed to recover and in the end they picked up their first ever wooden spoon for finishing last in the table.
That didn’t help their off of the field performance as crowds plummeted with the club announcing that they were $35m in debt in 2012 but after fighting off winding up proceedings in Federal Court, the club would regroup and become debt free the next year.
The 2014 season was full of ups and downs but it was most notable for their first ever nilling when they lost 42-0 to the Warriors but the seaosn ended much worse as they were found to have breached salary restrictions and were heavily fined.
The next year started with the club been placed in voluntary administration and its licensed was transferred to the NRL who took over running of the club.
That gave new stability to the club and after Daly Cherry-Evans reneged on a 4 year deal, the club had lots of salary cap space and brought in lots of established and younger talent.
That helped them reached the play-offs once again in 2016 but the next seaosn saw the club hit with more off of the field scandals and poor performances which culminated with a humiliating home loss by 54 points to 0 against rival Brisbane.
In 2019, the club brought in head coach Justin Holbrook who was used to winning titles and trophies across the globe in Britian and he soon brought in new standards for the Titans players.
It took some getting used to for the Titans players but after a bumpy start, the club were soon back in the end of season play-offs thanks to a 44-0 win over the Warriors in 2021, when the club needed 2 other clubs to lose, coupled with their big win just to make the play-offs.
