The Dragons are a joint venture club, formed when the Illawarra Steelers and the St George Dragons merged together, and even to this day, they use both of those club’s home grounds as their own home matches, so this game could take place at either.
If it takes place at the Wollongong Showground, the former home of the Illawarra Steelers, it will allow for around 22,000 fans to watch live in person.
It is a modern, yet historic stadium that features that features a mix match of stands including a large grandstand that runs the full length of the field and is made up of two tiers of general access seating and a row of corporate boxes at the back of the lower tier.
That stand also houses the media facilites for the ground and features a large, cantilevered roof across it.
At one end of the pitch is a medium sized all-seater stand that also has a row of corporate boxes at the back of it.
At the other end is a larger two-tiered all-seater general access stand that has a large roof across it but the stand also wraps around one corner of the pitch, but that corner is pen to the elements.
The far side of the stadium is the only part to not be redeveloped and remains a traditional grass hill.
If the match takes place at the Jubilee Oval, the former home of the St George Dragons, it will allow for a little over 20,000 fans to watch at a stadium that is oval in shape.
At one end of the ground is large but flat all-seater stand that is open to the elements which also wraps around and runs along one length of the pitch, but that it extended by an upper tier that has a small roof on it and some corporate facilites.
The other end of the field is undeveloped whist the far side of the pitch is a traditional grass bank that does have a small row of seating at the front of it, but again there is no protection for fans.
Location
The Wollongong Showground is located, perhaps unsurprisingly, in the city of Wollongong, which is in the Illawarra region of New South Wales.
It is around an hour drive or 80 kilometres from the centre of Sydney and one of the highlights of the stadium is its stunning Ocean front location that allows for those sitting in the upper tier of the amin stand to have great sea views.
If the match is played at the Jubilee Oval, it will be the Sydney suburb of Carlton that plays host to the action, which is located in the south of the city and around 15 kilometres from the Sydney central business district.
It is in the St George area of the city and sits right next to the suburb of Kogarah.

This match is always a great reminder of better times for home fans as it harkens back to the 2010 and 2011 season when they won the NRL Grand Final, the World Club Challenge and the Minor Premiership to become the first club since the Broncos almost 20 years earlier to win all three simultaneously.
