Stadium(s)
The match will take place at Endeavour Field, also known to most fans as either Shark Park or Sharks Stadium, but no matter what you known the ground as, it is always one of the easiest to recognise.
That is because whilst so many other Sydney based clubs play in large modern shared stadiums, the Sharkies have their own home and they have developed over time to where it is now a mix match or new, old and in need of further development.
The ground is also restricted by its location right up against Woolooware Bay and the large Captain Cook Driver, so things have needed to be squished in place.
That has left the ground been made up of 1 raised single tier stand behind one of the sticks, 2 large grandstands of multiple tiers down either side of the pitch, with the lower tier of those banking around the final end of the stadium to create a horseshoe bowl and there is also a grass verge behind the sea end of the ground.
All of the seats in the stadium are made sky blue seats, the main colour of the Sharkies.
Location
The stadium is located in the Woolooware suburb of south Sydney, in the Sutherland Shire region, which is around 15 miles (or 24 kilometres) from the downtown Sydney Central Business District and whilst this district is to the north of Cronulla, it does share the same 2230 postcode with it.
As mentioned, the ground sits on the southern tip of Woolooware Bay, which runs off of Botany Bay to the south of the main city centre of Sydney, whilst Cronulla itself is just to the southeast of Woolooware.
About
This is a battle between two historic clubs, both based in and around the city of Sydney, who have had very similar histories as both have enjoyed some success, some years of struggle and lots of up and down season which always makes these matches so interesting and a good indicator of just where either team is at the moment.
