Stadium(s)
The Dolphins have two stadiums that they call home, and this match up could take place at either of those stadiums.
The club’s traditional home, going back to their days as the Redcliffe Dolphins, is Dolphin Stadiums in the suburb of Kippa-Ring.
This stadium is one of the smallest in the NRL as it can only host around 10,000 fans across its main all-seater stand and grass banks.
Bigger matches are taken into the nearby big city of Brisbane where they play matches at the impressive Suncorp Stadium.
Also known as Lang Park, the stadium is one of the most impressive in Australia and one of the most famous Rugby stadiums in the world.
Made up of large multi-tier all-seater stands and lots of corporate facilites, the stadium can host over 50,000 fans when full.
As well as hosting some Dolphins matches, the ground is also the home of the Brisbane Broncos, the Queensland State of Origin team and it has hosted many international test matches including the Rugby League World Cup final.
Location
The club are based in the Redcliffe Peninsula area of the City of Moreton Bay, which is a part of the wider Brisbane region in the southeast of the state of Queensland.
To be more precise, it is the Kippa-Ring suburb of the city which is in the western end of Redcliffe which is around 20 miles, or 31 kilometres, to the north of the Brisbane central business district.
This part of Queensland has a large proportion of New Zealand born locals and that should mean there are plenty of away fans in attendance, which should just add to the atmosphere and the sense of occasion.
About
This is a battle between two expansion teams who are relatively new to the Australian game and who love to play attacking rugby.
They are also two clubs who have a point to prove as the Dolphins sit in the shadow of their big city neighbours, the Broncos, whilst the Warriors represent their country in an Australian competition.
