Wakefield Trinity v Catalan Dragons News
Wakefield Trinity welcome the Catalan Dragons from the south west of France to West Yorkshire in the north of England for an intriguing looking match up.
These two have given us some great battles down the years and despite the Dragons often been a the top of the table and Wakey towards the bottom, Trin have a fairly decent record against Les Dracs.

Stadium
The match takes place at Belle Vue Stadium in the city of Wakefield which is a ground that has for far too long been a drain on the finances of the club and a hinderance to their ability to grow their fanbase.
For much of the summer era of the sport the ground has been far below the minimum standards expected from a professional club but thankfully, the club have invested heavily in their facilities and the ground is now quickly becoming worthy of a club with the history of Wakefield Trinity.
Much of the improvements have come from the complete rebuilding of the stadium main stand which is now a modern all-seater stand that runs the full length of the field and includes some corporate areas.
Behind one sets of posts is the ground infamous block of hospitality boxes that whilst often derided are now looking much improved and make the ground instantly recognisable whenever you see footage from Belle Vue.
At the other end of the ground is a large two-tier terrace that is partially covered and that perhaps, most importantly, houses the bulk of the most focal home supporters.
Belle Vue is known for its great atmosphere despite often poor crowds but with those on the up, the atmosphere remains consistently strong throughout the season which is great for a game such as this one when there will be an understandable lack of away fans in attendance.
The final stand at the ground is one that is still in need of improvement as it is simply a shallow terrace with little cover.
With further plans for improvement, Belle Vue is now finally an aid instead of an hindrance to the club, but don’t forget to keep up with all of the latest news on further improvements right here.
