Stadium(s)
The Raiders play at Canberra Stadium, which has gone by multiple other names down the years thanks to sponsorships deals but no matter what you know it as, it is one of the easiest stadiums in the NRL to recognise.
The stadium is a vast oval, that is quite flat and most of the fans are left open to the elements and was originally known as the Bruce Stadium for when the club first moved there in 1990.
It was later changed to the Canberra Stadium, before becoming the GIO Stadium due to sponsorship reason, although many still know it as Canberra Stadium.
The lower level of the stadium is a bowl design that wraps around all sides of the ground whilst the stands that run down the length of the field are multi-tiered.
The middle section of the sides does feature a roof and there is a small amount of corporate and media facilites which all comes together to allow for just over 25,000 fans to attend in person and for a matchup such as this one, it should be packed house.
Location
The Raiders home ground is in the suburb of Bruce, which is in the Belconnen district of the Australian capital city of Canberra, which is of course in the Australian Capital Territory, better known simply as the ACT.
The stadium itself is part of a larger complex featuring arenas, venue and fields for multiple sports and is home to the Australian Institute of Sport but despite that, there is a distinct lack of a metro system heading to the ground.
That is a shame as the ground is quite a walk from the centre of Bruce and about 6 kilometres from the centre of Canberra itself.
About
