Stadium(s)
The Tigers are a relatively new club built out of the embers of the Balmain Tigers and the Western Suburbs and as a joint-venture club, the Wests Tigers now have two home grounds that they call home and that could host this match.
The first potential host venue is the Campbelltown Stadium, the former home of the Western Suburbs Magpies, which is a vast open bowl of a stadium.
The ground is made up of a single tier bowl, that is mostly open to the elements, although there is a small, roofed area down both touchlines with one side hosting the ‘main stand’ of the ground which is where all of the corporate and media facilities can be found.
Behind the sticks there is some seating, and a grass banked area for what is one of the more traditional stadiums in the NRL that can welcome around 17,500 fans when full.
The second ground to be called ‘home’ by the Tigers is the Leichhardt Oval, the former home of the Balmain Tigers, which features a mix and match of stands.
Down one touchline is a 2 tier stand that features some corporate facilities as well as general access seating whilst the other touchline features a small bank of seating with a grass banking behind it.
Behind one set of sticks is a small, covered stand and some open-air seating whilst the final end of the ground in a traditional terrace.
Location
If the match takes place at Campbelltown, it will be the Leumeah suburb of Sydney that plays host to the match which is around 52 kilometres to the south-west of the downtown Sydney Central Business District in the city of Campbelltown, part of the Macarthur region.
If the march takes place at the Leichhardt Oval, it will be the inner west suburb of Leichhardt that hosts the match which is around 5 kilometres from the town centre Sydney Central Business Distrct.
About
