The match takes place at the North Queensland Stadium, also known by its sponsored name of the Queensland Community Bank Stadium, which is the modern home of the Cowboys.

The stadium is located in the city of Townsville, which as you would expect from the name of the host, is located in the north of the state of Queensland, which tends to mean that matches played there are played in hot and humid conditions.
That can affect those clubs coming from down south, but it should be too much of an issue for Brisbane based Dolphins.
The stadium itself is found on the banks of the Ross Creek, which runs into the main Townsville Harbour, putting the matches location just outside of the main Townsville Central Business District.
It is also close to numerous major roads in and out of the city and next to a major railway, which make sit easy for fans from across Townsville to reach the ground.
