Stadium
The match takes place at New Craven Park, most commonly known simply as Craven Park which has really developed over the past few years to become one of the very best medium sized Rugby League stadiums in England.
The ground features a mix of the new and the old, of seating and terracing and of new ideas as the ground features 3 separate stands that can host around 12,000 fans when full.
One stand is a length of the field terrace that features the bulk of the most vocal home support that always helps to create an incredible atmosphere.
The other side of the field features the stadiums main stand, which features a mixture of seating and terracing and also some of the ground corporate facilities.
At one end of the ground is a modern all-seater stand whilst the other end of the stadiums features the innovative Craven Streat, which h features a mix of street food and drinks stalls that helps to get fans into the ground early and the atmosphere building up nicely.
As well as hosting the Robins, the ground has also hosted a number of international test matches including games at the Rugby League World Cup when hosted in the UK.
Location
The city of Kingston-upon-Hull, or simply Hull as most know it as, is located on the east coast of Yorkshire, in the cunty of East Yorkshire.
That puts it a the far eastern edge of the sport’s traditional northern heartlands and with two topflight clubs and a thriving junior and amateur scene, it is a hotbed of the sport.
The city is a divided one when it comes to the sport of Rugby League with fans to the east of the River Hull traditionally supporting the Red and Whites whilst those to the west of the river traditionally support the Black and Whites.
Nowadays, both clubs get support from across the city and from even further afield including up the coast towards Bridlington and down the coast into North Lincolnshire.
