Stadium(s)
The Dolphins have two stadiums that they call home, Dolphins Stadium in Moreton Bay and they also use Lang Park in Brisbane for big matches.
Dolphin Stadium, also known as Kayo Stadium due to sponsorship reasons has long been the home of the Redcliffe Dolphins, who the Dolphins NRL team developed out of and who still continue to play at the ground in the lower levels of Rugby League in Australia.
It is one of the smaller and more basic grounds in the NRL as it features mostly open banks of seats with a main stand that includes some corporate facilites and a small roof.
All in all the ground can host around 10,000 fans and for a match up such as this one it will be packed out.
Location
The Dolphins are based in the Kippa-Ring suburb of the city of Moreton Bay, just to the north of Brisbane and close to the suburb of Redcliffe.
The club represent the whole of the northern parts of Brisbane but do of course have fans from across the city but due to the clubs history, where they first played at the Redcliffe Showgrounds, there spiritual home still remains Redcliffe.
The City of Moreton Bay, formally known as the Moreton Bay Region, merged together the city of Redcliffe, the Shires of Pine Rivers and Caboolture and it is now across those that the club represent.
About
Whilst there is little history between the two sides, there is always some extra interest in cross border battles between the two historically dominant states of the sport.
