The stadium was initially built way back in 1966 and that is when the Sharkies first moved into the home that they have remained at ever since.

It has undergone a number of changes however down the years and that has left it with a hodgepodge of stands that come together to allow around 20,000 fans in attendance, when it is all opened up.

3 quarters of the stadium has a small lower-level bowl that wraps from the two main side stand around one end of the ground.

Those side stands are compact ones as they only run about half the length of the field, with one of them been a two tier stand and the other been a multi-level stand featuring general access seating, cooperate boxes and media facilites.

The other end of the stadium features a small and raised all-seater stand that offers a roof but few other facilites.

Location

The stadium is located in the Woolooware suburb of southern Sydney, around 15 miles from the Sydney central business district in a region known as the Sutherland Shire.

The suburb is just to the west of the suburb of Cronulla, from where the club gets their main name from and is a mostly relaxed and leafy suburb in a part of Sydney known for its relaxed beach vibe.

It does have its own train station that links the city centre with Cronulla and whilst it is a bit of a walk from the station to the ground, it does make it easy for all of those coming from central Sydney to matches there and it also helps fans coming east from Penrith to reach the stadium.
