Stadium(s)
The Doggies have two stadiums that they call ‘home’ with the first one been their traditional home ground of the Belmore Sports Ground, also known as the Belmore Oval and their second home been the impressive Stadium Australia.
Belmore has long been the home of the club but as it lacked the facilities needed of a topflight club, they had to move out and move to the former Olympic stadium in Sydney but after some big upgrades, the club now take some matches to their historical home.
The ground only features one main stand, which is a large single tier stand with the ground only corporate facilities, whilst some terracing and a grass bank along the far touchline allow for around 18,000 fans to attend games played there.
Their second home is probably better known to many as it is Stadium Australia, or the former Olympic stadium from the 2000 Sydney Games.
The massive stadium features a large bowl design on the lower tier and then two-three extra tiers down both touchlines that also feature the corporate facilites for the all-seater stadium.
It is one of the biggest stadiums in the world in terms of total capacity as it can host around 82,000 fans for a Rugby League match.
Location
The club are traditionally based in the Belmore suburb of Sydney, which is around 11 kilometres to the southwest of the downtown central business district city centre of Sydney.
It is in the district of Canterbury-Bankstown where the clubs full name of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs comes from.
Whilst the club do still garner much of their fanbase from Belmore and the southwest regions of Sydney, they also attract fans from across the city which has helped with there move to the Stadium Australia as they 2nd home is located in the Sydney Olympic Park, around 13 kilometres west of the CBD.
The giant stadium is much closer to rival clubs such as Parramatta and is a shared home with most Sydney clubs.
